ACUPUNCTURE

Traditional Chinese Medicine style assessment & Needling

Acupuncture is defined as the insertion of a needle under the skin for therapeutic purposes.

There is a rich history of the origins of acupuncture going back over 4,000 years, where the original acupuncture was done using stone needles. Needle material and type have evolved with time to the current ones used in today's clinics.

In the modern treatment room practitioners must use single-use sterile filiform (filiment shaped) as part of the Clean Needle Technique.

There are multiple ways in using acupunture in practice. On a basic level Candice uses Acupuncture as an extension of her regular acupressure techniques to tend to restrictions and knots in muscles and tendons. On a broader view, acupuncture points have been studied to affect other parts of the body via the meridians.
